St Mary’s Cathedral College, established 1824, is the oldest Catholic boys’ school still on its original site in Australia. Boys are educated at Cathedral in the tradi­tion of the Christian Brothers.

The College is renowned for academic and sporting suc­cess and its achievements in various cultural endeavours, especially the unique music program. There is a gifted and talented music stream in Years 3–6 and over 300 students across the College receive weekly music tuition. The Col­lege has almost 20 bands and ensembles in a variety of musi­cal genres.
