On an individual level learning Italian assists in communication and socio-cultural understandings. Students of Italian gain a sense of personal achievement, satisfaction and conference as they gain valuable communication skills.
Language learning in the classroom is enhanced by the use of resources such as films, magazines, radio programs, websites, learning objects and communication with other students of Italian.
All Year 8 students at the College study Italian, while it is offered as an elective in Years 9 and 11
Students are assessed through their reading, writing, listening and speaking skills as well as completing research tasks.
Where possible students are taken on excursions to experience cultural activities that enable them to experience a little of an authentic Italian lifestyle.
